Joanne's Story
Joanne Mareen grew up surrounded by books, maps, and the ever-present stillness of Lake Zürich. While her father, Dr. Elias Mareen, taught her about Muggle linguistics and ancient myths, her mother, Cressida Mareen, revealed the hidden beauty of magic in small, deliberate doses—charmed teacups, self-dusting shelves, and bedtime stories about magical creatures that may or may not have been real.From a young age, Joanne showed subtle but undeniable signs of magic. At age seven, she accidentally summoned a gust of wind that turned the pages of every book in the house when frustrated with a riddle she couldn’t solve. Her parents, both scholars in their own ways, realized she wasn’t just a gifted child—she was something extraordinary.
